Seven Questions for Ashley Graham

Image
Greetings, Earthlings! It's Monday and time once again to lure an unsuspecting writer to my blog to grill them with my #SevenQuestions. Ashley Graham is currently buried in edits for her debut novel, All The Stars Left Behind, which will be released in 2018 by  Entangled Teen . You can follow Ashley by checking out the links below. But first...the questions... 1 - Which actor/actress would you love to see play your characters in a movie adaptation? Kristofer Hivju is exactly who I pictured for ALL THE STARS LEFT BEHIND's Uncle Arne. I saw him as Tormund Giantsbane in GoT and it was this instant...AHA! YES! And Mads Sjøgård Pettersen is Roar Bakke exactly! For Leda, my kick ass heroine, someone like Taapsee Pannu would be perfect! 2 - Leather or lace? Being a vegan, leather is out for me lol! Lace is kind of scratchy, but if it's over a top of a satiny texture, bring it on! 3 - What is your biggest phobia? Don't laugh.... My biggest phobia is people not lik...

The Wolves of Dynamo - excerpt - Rhapsody and the golden wolf

Image
Rhapsody’s milky face beamed in the moonlight, her black eyes, lips, and hair like the void of space—unreflective and endless. She was mouthing something to Eileen, her plump, black lips parting to release a biting cold blast which caused Eileen to shiver. She expressed something important to Eileen, but in frustrating silence. Eileen yelled at Rhapsody, unable to make out her own words above the rustle of the treetops. The black-clad girl stepped away through the long grass towards the verdant wall of leaves and vines. Eileen reached out to catch her, but Rhapsody just laughed silently at her and pulled away, like it was a game, her black skirt blowing around her ankles and her long, black hair flowing out behind her like an ebony wave. Ahead, a pair of golden eyes peered from the undergrowth, catching the light of the full moon and shimmering like water: the golden wolf, Tenskwatawa. It did not speak, but it wanted Rhapsody to follow, and infuriatingly she did, moving fu...

Bright Lights #2 - Carey Heywood - A Bridge of Her Own

The second patient on my operating table...ready for dissection...hmmm, this intro is a little on the serial killer side. Let me try again. My second unsuspecting victim...ugh...just roll with it... ...is the delightful Carey Heywood. Many of you may know her from Twitter, or the surrounding internetosphere, and she has graciously accepted my invite to swing by my wee blog and answer a few of my questions. I bumped into Carey on twitter and despite the fact she's happily married and a proud mama with younglings, she made me her twitter husband. The relationship was rocky from the outset due to my lack of "Swedish Fish" knowledge. I think we weathered that storm and have survived about 100 tweets since then. I still haven't tasted a Swedish Fish but fortunately Christmas approaches, her new book is available to buy on the Kindle site and she's in a forgiving mood!  So without further ado...and while she's still talking to me... Carey Heywood ...
